  Squash is one of the most popular sports played in Prague and throughout the Czech Republic, by Czechs and by the large group of foreign expatriats living in Prague. It is not always easy to find a squash partner playing on the same or similar level to make this game even more enjoyable.
Praha Squash is the first and largest Open Squash Community in Prague and it's goal is to bring squash players from all nationalitites, gender and playing levels in and around Prague together to discuss and enjoy this sport.
Squash je jedním z nejpopulárnějších sportů v Praze, a oblíben je nejen mezi Čechy, ale i v početné skupině cizinců, kteří v Praze žijí. Ne vždy je ovšem snadné najít sparing-partnera na stejné či obdobné úrovni a hru si tak maximálně užít. "Praha Squash", nebo chcete-li "Squash v Praze", je první a největší otevřenou squashovou komunitou v hlavním městě. Jejím cílem je spojit hráče squashe nez ohledu na národnost, pohlaví či úroveň hry, a společně o hře nejen diskutovat, ale především si ji aktivně užívat. |

(thanks to CASQ blog) According to Google Trends, the #1 amount of Google users (worldwide!) searching for the keyword "squash" turn out to live in the Czech Republic and in Prague to be precise.
This clearly shows the popularity of the sport here in the Czech Republic !

 In a short while I'll be moving the players from the current ladder on ropeyladder to the ladder on this site. (sneak preview here. DO NOT START PLAYING THERE YET!)
For the players it basically works for 99% similar to how ropeyladder works. A nice addition is the so-called ELO Rating.
See wikipedia I will update everyone when we'd move to the new system.Untill then place keep playing on the current ladder. Zanedlouho budou hráči zaregistrovaní na současném žebříčku (ropeyladder.com) přesunuti na žebříček přímo na těchto stránkách (ukázka zde. Zatím na něm nehrajte!) V zásadě funguje téměř stejně jako původní žebříček. Zajímavou novinkou je tzv. ELO rating (viz cs.wikipedia nebo en.wikipedia) Všichni budou při přesunu na nový žebříček informováni Zatím pokračujte v hraní na žebříčku současném. |
